Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with supply chain technology implementation experience for our client located in Inver Grove Heights MN. This is a 10+ month contract position. This role requires 3 days on site in Inver Grove Heights MN.

Compensation: $95.00 - $110.00 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.

Summary

Our client has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for an expert level Project Management Specialist to manage alongside an internal project manager leading a complex multi-business unit technology transformation within our Transportation product line. This key role will lead an implementation managing firm deadlines and budget. The candidate will interact heavily with senior level business stakeholders and many groups within IT. This role leads, measures, and reports on key activities of the project implementation to ensure a successful implementation.

Responsibilities


  • Understand technology program requirements with focus on S&OP and Supply Chain Management implementations and apply project management principles to drive to results.
  • Develop detailed project plans following hybrid methodologies and manage all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
  • Build and maintain active, collaborative relationships with all levels of resources to understand and address program challenges.
  • Support the Sr. Manager in managing IT partner solution delivery relationships.
  • Coordinate sub-projects while meeting overall scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Ensure adherence to the Office of Technology Delivery Framework.
  • Apply implementation expertise and knowledge, work alongside and support a strong functional and technical team to meet program deliverables.
  • Lead and contribute to development of client's objectives and principles to achieve goals in a creative and effective way.
  • Drive resolution of project obstacles; exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources.
  • Lead the tracking and management of project risks and issues.
  • Understand the project budget components and tracking mechanisms.
  • Provide leadership in dashboard metric definition, collection and publication.
  • Support the teams in providing data-driven and comprehensive status reports.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced project managers.
  • Evaluate delivery methodology and identifying needed areas of change.
  • Occasionally work non-traditional work hours.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.


Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Must have a proven track record of directly overseeing from start to finish a minimum of two (2) technology implementations within S&OP and/or Supply Chain Management with a team of over ten (10) resources and a budget of over $2USD million.
  • 10+ years of related experience through professional services consulting and/or project/program management as an IT program/project manager involving large, complex technology implementation projects with multi-million-dollar budgets to include:
  • Experience working with program management and project management metrics across scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Experience in a corporate environment especially in a matrixed, multi-business unit domain company.
  • Experience in enterprise level infrastructure implementation and business support, including a broad understanding of IT infrastructure programs and projects with large, global implementations including:
  • Experience in and familiarity with information security and infrastructure.
  • Experience in and working understanding of multiple ERPs with a complex application portfolio in a large architecture footprint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, Project Management or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training.


Additional Qualifications (desired)

  • PMI PMP Certification.
  • Change Management Practitioner.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience in working with 3rd party vendors. Indirect management of strong-matrix project teams or product teams consisting of full-time and contracted resources.
  • Keen understanding of multiple leadership, communication, and thinking styles
  • Possesses ambition and drive to make an impact.
  • Understands how to influence change without direct control within a decentralized business unit culture.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment as new IT models, technologies and processes are being rolled out.
  • Experience with different technical tools and testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, SAP Focused Build.
