Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Government in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned manufacturing and government-related locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong, visible presence. This is an armed and driving position, requiring you to conduct regular patrols and respond promptly to incidents as they arise. You will engage with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, all while upholding the company's values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement as needed for incident response and reporting.
  • Perform duties in a professional manner while maintaining visibility throughout the assigned location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, activities, and observations during each shift.
  • Follow all company protocols and guidelines established by Allied Universal and the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess one or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
