Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic healthcare location where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, covering both interior areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document observations and report any unusual circumstances, hazards, or incidents according to company and client guidelines.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site leadership while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and helping to enforce property rules as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccination in accordance with hospital requirements is required.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue settings is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in accordance with hospital protocols is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
