Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Floor Response in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will be visible throughout the facility, and you will interact with individuals in a professional and courteous manner while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote orderly conduct within the facility.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual conditions according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns and foster a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with all hospital-specific requirements, including vaccination mandates.
  • Must be able to work in hospital environments that may involve interaction with the morgue.
  • Must be able to assist with restraining individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
