Insurance Data Specialists perform the daily functions necessary to implement LifeShield National Company's role in the administration of policies offered by LifeShield and reinsurance of policies while working cooperatively with Third Party Administrators and employees. Our ideal candidate would eventually grow into larger roles within the Company.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Processing returned ACH transactions in accordance with Company policies and banking regulations.
  • Processing EFT transactions in accordance with Company policies and banking regulations.
  • Assisting customers, agents, and providers in the handling of inquiries via mail, phone, or email.
  • Vendor and TPA monitoring, including, but not limited to call performance and reporting standards.
  • Processing, maintaining, and following up on documents received.
  • Multi-tasking, including talking to callers while simultaneously navigating the computer system.
  • Processing changes with accuracy.
  • Performing system data maintenance.

  • Providing solutions to any relative problems of internal and external clients and escalating more complex or persistent issues to management as needed.




Ideal candidates will:



  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a sense of ownership for all work with the goal of positively driving business results.
  • Attend paid training and continue to build personal skill sets by participating in internal and external training.
  • Pursue cross-training to act as a backup for other Life Operations areas as necessary.



Position Requirements

To be considered, you must possess a minimum of 1-year basic accounting or bookkeeping and related customer service experience. Insurance knowledge or experience is preferred.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:



  • Professional customer service experience, verbal and written.
  • Basic computer knowledge (including MS Office) and data entry skills.
  • Ability to maneuver within multiple software programs and screens at one time.
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet performance standards.

    Experience
    Insurance (Life & Health) - preferred (preferred)
    1 years: Customer Service (required)
    1 years: Basic accounting or bookkeeping (required)
