Landfill Laborer

Nye County Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a General Laborer at our landfill in Pahrump, NV!

The starting pay will be $17 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $17 - $18 per hour. We also offer great family benefits, a 401k match, paid vacation, etc.

The schedule will be Sunday - Thursday 7:30AM - 4:00PM.

Our priority is to make sure we hire safe laborers that care about the safety of our customers and team members. As a landfill laborer with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Checking trucks in and out of the landfill and directing traffic at site as necessary.
• Manual labor including paper picking, keeping landfill clean and presentable.
• Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determinesafe and environmentally sound solutions toserviceissues.

What we need from you:

• One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.
• Ability to work schedule in all weather conditions
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
