Responsibilities Business Risk Specialists are outside sales professionals responsible for generating new commercial insurance sales as well as additional OneGroup product offerings. Build and maintain a growing client roster while meeting sales and service standards with an emphasis placed on the quality of insurance solutions presented to the client. Meet with and regularly and pro-actively review client needs Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas an across other company services to provide clients with effective presentations of insurance solutions Understand and ability to sell consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects based on their needs, not on availability of any specific products Use and maintain prospect and pipeline information within agency CRM Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities Ability to acquire detailed client information for submission for underwriting, pricing, and presentation and to seamlessly transition new accounts to the client service team Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes Attend regularly and actively participate in scheduled sales meetings, seminars and events. Pro-actively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments and across all affiliated companies for the purpose of maximizing cross-marketing opportunities Participate in continuing education, self education and credentialing Perform other duties as required Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner Qualifications To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree, preferred Property/Casualty License Required If licensed, maintain Agent/Broker License through continuing education 3-5 years of proven successful sales or related experience, required Insurance sales experience, preferred Proven ability to achieve established sales quotas Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience using contact management software Working knowledge and competency in use of agency management system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other software as required by position Ability to use menu-driven software Ability to work independently Assertive, self-starter Ability to influence others Good Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Must process a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record All applicants must be 18 years of age or older Other Job Information Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
