Job Title: Trach/Vent Nurse Duration: 03 months with possible extension Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046 Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Job Description: Perform sterile suctioning to clear secretions from the tracheostomy tube. Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilator settings to ensure optimal oxygenation and breathing. Provide humidified air to prevent dryness. Perform routine tracheostomy tube and inner cannula changes. Assess the tracheostomy site for redness, swelling, or signs of infection. Continuously monitor vital signs, including oxygen saturation, heart rate, and blood pressure. Observe for and promptly report signs of complications, such as bleeding, displacement, or infection. Administer prescribed medications and treatments to the patient. Accurately document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition. Communicate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families. Educate the patient and family on tracheostomy and ventilator care, signs of complications, and emergency procedures. Minimum Requirements: 3 years of experience working with Children. Documents required: Active RN License BLS/CPR certification by AHA
