Overview of Position:

Heiser's Collision Center in West Allis has an immediate opening for a Collision/Body Shop Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the auto body repair work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and inspect all auto body repair work completed in shop, maintaining highest level of service to meet ship standards and client expectations.
  • Verify customer insurance policies to confirm which repairs are covered.
  • Document work done in shop and purchase any necessary equipment and supplies
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the body shop.
  • Attend managers' meetings.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all body shop staff.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all body shop employees.
  • Provide technical assistance to body shop employees.
  • Conduct meetings with body shop employees to discuss activities and departmental problems of mutual interest to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.
  • Monitor body shop employees' payroll records.
  • Develop, enforce, and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
  • Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Valid and clean WI Driver's License
  • Previous auto shop experience preferred
  • Ability to function as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced work environment
