The Operations Management Director will report directly to the Sr. Director, Strategic Planning and is responsible for executing strategy, and driving business transformation and operational excellence across Cox Fleet business. The Director will lead a team and assist in the planning, development and execution of these strategies. The Director will also help develop strategies that are vital to enabling Fleet as they pertain to partner relationships (Clients, Vendors and Other Business Partners). The Director will have direct contact with our Customers, External Business Partners and matrixed internal business partners to help improve the business. The Director will bring ideas, concepts, and competitive threats to light to help develop plans to mitigate these threats as well as help drive business improvement. The Director will engage directly with stakeholders to identify current needs and assess a potential solution as well as identify new opportunities within the market. This position will provide insight and help drive to execution the overall connected solution across the Fleet business.

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Lead a team (~3 direct reports) responsible for executing against the long-term vision and strategy for Fleet.
  • Provide thought-leadership, direction and prioritization of product and operational enhancements to drive client experience, operational efficiencies, and organizational transformation efforts.
  • Responsible for driving execution of the long-term strategies for Fleet as it pertains to our marketplace solutions, Vendors and business needs.
  • Help ensure that our strategies align across our platforms and realize the long-term goals of Fleet Services
  • Leverage advanced management and communication skills to facilitate complex team meetings involving business, product, operations and technical resources.
  • Other duties as needed or required


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Must be able to clearly understand the business needs of Fleet
  • Must be able to clearly articulate an understanding of the issues and be able to present solutions
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business lines and matrixed organizations to help drive results
  • Must be able to drive to execution agreed upon strategies
  • Must be able to present and articulate solutions and strategies to Fleet Service partners.


Minimum Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, analyze complex problems and suggest appropriate solutions, exhibiting good decision quality and strategic mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills, business insight, and financial acumen.
  • Proven ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range strategies and goals, driving appropriate results.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize tasks of team to promote the efficient use of time and monitor progress against schedule.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams in an operations environment, while ensuring accountability.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts
  • Requires fluency with MS-Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook. Project preferred, but not required
  • Ability to travel around 25% of the time
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.


USD 131,600.00 - 219,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $131,600.00 - $219,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
