*Job Title:* *OSP Data Center Technician* *Location:* Denton, TX (This Project) Google Data Center in Dallas, TX (After project is finished)
*Company:* E2 Optics / TEKsystems *Pay: $23.00 - $30.00/hr.* *Job Description:* E2 Optics is seeking *OSP Data Center Technicians* to support a scope of work at a data center in Denton, TX. After completion, technicians will transition to supporting a Google data center in Dallas. *Technicians must have:* * A solid understanding of *Cat5 cabling* and *low-voltage systems*. * Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and operating aerial lifts. * Ability to *lift and carry up to 40 pounds* on site. * *Reliable transportation* and professional demeanor. * *OSHA 10 certification* (required before starting). The work environment includes *cookie-cutter, Class A builds, admin buildings, and co-location facilities*. *Scope of Work:* * *Primary tasks:* Pulling cable (mostly fiber), rack and stack, and patch work. * *Hands-on labor:* Technicians will not start with terminating/testing but will progress to these tasks as they prove themselves. * *Training:* E2 provides one week of training before technicians go on site, covering everything needed for success. *Note:* Candidates with backgrounds in *Residential (including FTTH), AV, or DAS* will *NOT* be considered. *Schedule:* * Monday through Saturday * *6:00 AM - 5:00 PM* * Approximately *60-hour work weeks* *Required Skills:* * OSP * Cable/Cabling * Data Center experience *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * *Must bring:* Basic hand tools (snips, screwdrivers, punch down tool, RJ45 crimper, channel locks). * *Nice to have:* Drill, portable bandsaw. *Experience Level:* * *Intermediate* *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is *$23.00 - $30.00/hr.* Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
