Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Leesburg, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter incidents and promote a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and professionalism will provide reassurance, while your exceptional customer service and communication skills will support positive interactions. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment while providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, or other urgent events.
  • Perform regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
  • Provide assistance to patients, visitors, and staff as needed, including helping with wayfinding or escorting individuals when appropriate.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities thoroughly and promptly according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or medical personnel when required by the situation.
  • Follow all Allied Universal training, licensing, and compliance requirements relevant to armed security-related responsibilities in healthcare settings.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
