POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain qualified talent across the organization. This position partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure an efficient, professional, and compliant hiring process. The Recruiter will also strengthen relationships with external recruiting agencies and regional colleges/technical schools to expand the company's talent pipeline while minimizing external recruiting costs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Confer with company leadership to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, develop job descriptions, and create effective recruitment plans.
- Source, attract, and engage qualified candidates through online platforms, professional networks, employee referrals, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring teams.
- Manage the offer process, including reference checks, background screening, and offer letters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with direct-hire and placement agencies, establishing a select group of preferred vendors to support specialized recruiting needs while minimizing reliance and cost associated with external vendors.
- Build partnerships with regional colleges, universities, and technical schools to support internship, apprenticeship, and entry-level recruiting efforts.
- Represent the company at job fairs, campus recruiting events, and industry career expos to enhance employer brand and attract talent.
- Maintain data accuracy in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and internal policies.
- Track and report key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness) to support continuous improvement.
- Support new-hire onboarding and orientation activities.
- Promote the company's values and culture throughout all stages of the recruiting process, ensuring candidates are aligned to KA's Mission and Cornerstone Principles.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Required:
- B.S. in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline.
- At least two years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably within a multi-location or operational environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the Aviation industry
- Experience with Government contracts and terminology.
- Familiarity with vendor contract negotiation and vendor performance management.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Software: Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, ATS Systems, Online Recruiting Platforms
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office-based environment with occasional travel to company sites, job fairs, and regional schools as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and talk or hear, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
