Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our CaaS product strategy; including leading the integration and growth of new strategic partner. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in payments, digital banking and processing services and capabilities, and a proven track record of managing complex products and organizing initiatives across business teams. This role is a strategic and highly visible position requiring close collaboration with technology, vendor partners, risk, compliance, and other business stakeholders to drive revenue, balance security, user experience, and portfolio growth.
Responsibilities
Product strategy and vision: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for an end to end card-as-a-service (CaaS) platform, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and market trends.
- Program management: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for card programs (debit, prepaid, credit), including business case development, requirements gathering, and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Fraud prevention: Partner with internal and external parties to implement predictive models, analytics, and rules engines to detect and prevent various types of fraud, such as application fraud, account takeover, and transaction fraud. Manage trade-offs between minimizing fraud losses and providing a frictionless user experience.
- Cross-functional leadership: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units inclusive of compliance, legal, marketing, operations, and sales. Communicate product vision, manage priorities, and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Market and customer research: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify unmet needs and opportunities for product innovation in the payments and fraud space.
- Performance monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to adoption rates, customer engagement, program profitability, portfolio growth, fraud detection rates, and false positive rates. Use KPIs and data analytics to inform product decisions and drive continuous optimization.
- Vendor management: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners crucial to card issuance, payments processing, and fraud monitoring including evaluating new technologies and negotiating contracts. Translate business and product requirements for vendors and evaluate their capabilities to meet strategic objectives.
- Compliance and risk management: Ensure all products and features comply with regulatory requirements, network rules (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), and internal risk policies. Work closely with IT Security, Development and Compliance teams to build and maintain a secure and compliant platform.
- Develop and lead comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new card products, features, and enhancements, ensuring cross-functional alignment with legal, compliance, sales, operations, and marketing for a seamless launch process.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Corporate Communications to define product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies that effectively communicate the value proposition to target customer segments.
- Partner with the Sales Enablement team to provide the necessary tools, resources, and training-including battle cards and feature guides-to ensure a successful rollout and drive product adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years of product management experience, with at least 8+ years focused on payments, banking services, digital payments transformation, or fraud-related products within the financial services or fintech industry.
- Demonstrated experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or data-driven systems, particularly in the context of fraud detection and risk scoring.
- Proven ability to manage products throughout the entire lifecycle, from strategy and discovery to launch and optimization.
- Deep understanding of payment processing flows, card networks (debit, prepaid, credit), and related technologies.
- Experience in an Agile development environment, with a strong ability to translate customer needs into user stories and detailed requirements.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, FCRA, and GLBA is highly desirable.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
