- Is expected to be highly experienced in worldwide regulatory requirements of their product/system towards homologation/type approval or self-certification
- Should have signatory designation in some scopes
- Represent the company and interface with regulatory bodies and industrial peers

- Responsibilities
|
- Identify and technical advice on regulatory and homologation requirements for vehicle, systems and components for global markets (focusing on EU, USA, Canada)
- Execution and witnessing of type approval tests for whole vehicles, systems and components according to UNECE regulations in compliance with quality, cost and delivery targets
- Interaction with national regulatory authorities and agencies, including but not limited to KBA, SNCH, MOT, NSAI, STA, NHTSA, EPA/CARB and others as needed
- Identifying homologation requirements and monitoring of homologation processes and regulations for new vehicle types to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Plausibility check of technical data, compilation of approval relevant data
- Preparation and generation of the necessary technical documentation as well as submission of this documentation to approval-authorities.
- Participating in and influencing working groups involved in the development of regulations and standards as required
- Conducting training and technical advisory in the field of homologation
- Support with technical sales activities in the field of homologation

- Education and Experience
|
- Successfully completed degree in engineering in the field of vehicle technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable technical course of study at a university, technical college or university of applied sciences
|
- Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities
Technical /Business Unit Related Skills & Knowledge: The technical skills and knowledge that are important for a specific role that enable an employee to fulfil the technical and business needs of their role. This is to be defined by the respective business unit/department and will be evaluated in performance assessments.

- 5-7 years of professional experience in homologation, preferred in the field of electric vehicles and new technologies
- A signatory in EU homologation scopes
- A robust understanding of the US and Canadian certification process
- A strong understanding of regulations, standards and market requirements such as FMVSS, EPA/CARB, IIHS, RCAR, NCAP, CMVSS etc.
- An in depth understanding of reading and interpreting global regulatory requirements and structures
- A general overview of the future automotive legislation landscape
- Experience in project management and robust practical experience with project work in the automotive sector
- Commitment and sense of responsibility
- Strong client and service orientation, with a high degree of initiative and proactive approach
- Good communication skills (able to discuss with clients about technical requirements)
- Willingness to travel
