Job Description Summary:
The Research Assistant position supports collaborative research in GW's Laboratory for Evolutionary Neuroscience through the development, management, and execution of laboratory projects. The role involves curating and processing project samples, refining laboratory methods, and generating high-quality neuroanatomical data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the project pipeline in collaboration with research partners, including curation of project samples
  • Design, develop, and test laboratory protocols to support ongoing research
  • Generate neuroanatomical data using established methods, and optimize protocols as needed


Perform other related duties as assigned, recognizing that specific responsibilities may be adapted based on project needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, neuroscience, genetics, biological anthropology, or a related field.
  • Experience with research techniques in neuroscience, image analysis, or bioinformatics.

Hiring Range $17.95 - $27.01
