Your Purpose
As an HSE Specialist, you will play a critical role in advancing our corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) strategy. You'll lead the implementation of digital HSE systems, oversee compliance programs, and partner across IT, Business Units, and site HSE teams to ensure regulatory excellence. Your work will directly strengthen our safety culture, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Systems & Data
- Serve as administrator for corporate HSE digital systems, providing governance, support, and technical oversight.
- Compile, analyze, and deliver monthly and quarterly performance data (TRIR, PSE, spills).
- Manage HSE document control processes and transition materials into centralized systems.
Compliance & Programs
- Oversee DOT compliance, including regulatory plans, training, and medical testing requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE programs, policies, and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Stay current with OSHA, DOT, and industry standards to ensure organizational readiness.
Audits & Investigations
- Design and lead corporate audit protocols; conduct field verification audits.
- Provide expert support during incident investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and corrective actions.
Culture & Collaboration
- Partner with site HSE teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with management, employees, and contractors to embed a strong culture of safety.
- Support Process Safety initiatives through training development and progress tracking.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement measures to enhance safety performance.
What You'll Bring
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in refining, chemical, oil & gas, or related industries.
- Expert working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred
- A.S. or B.S. in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
- OSHA Train the Trainer certification.
- DOT Compliance Training Course.
