The Sr. Technical Account Specialist is the primary technical lead for Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) accounts working in conjunction with the Corporate Account Managers (CAM) and marketing colleagues. As the owner of the technical relationship, the Sr. Technical Account Specialist will partner directly with customers to provide technical expertise to all levels of their organization. As part of Research Development and Engineering (RD&E), this individual will leverage their understanding of customers' pain points to help drive innovation by providing insights to ensure the development of innovative products and programs that will improve customer operations, cleanliness, and food safety programs. This person will deliver exceptional customer experience and drive sales growth through program adoption by leveraging strong partnerships with customer's Food Safety, R&D, Facilities, Quality, and Procurement teams. Using problem solving skills, this person will help customers navigate the complexity and challenges to deliver food safety and maintain healthy environments.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with a cross-functional team to drive business growth and sales.

  • Provide technical expertise, support, and solutions to a specified set of customers through interaction with representatives at corporate, franchise, and individual store level.

  • Lead and coordinate value-added customer-focused technical projects through lab work, analysis, field testing, material evaluation, and equipment performance testing.

  • Apply knowledge of industry trends, best practices, regulatory requirements, and standards to make cleaning and sanitation procedural recommendations that provide guidance and significant impact on customer operations.

  • Create technical documents including training manuals, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and customized cleaning procedures, and may lead some of the development and delivery of the education and training for customers.

  • Assist in the launch of new products in conjunction with RD&E colleagues, marketing and sales team.

  • Communicate customer-generated insights to sales, marketing and RD&E to provide input to the discussions about how to profitably apply those ideas to the business, thereby fostering the development of new product concepts and technical platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, or related technical discipline

  • BS degree and 2 years of experience or advanced degree and 1 year related experience

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial or business experience is helpful but not required

  • 2+ years professional experience in a customer facing technical role

  • Must perform well in a team-driven atmosphere

  • Project management skills are beneficial

  • Data science and analytical skills are beneficial

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing abilities required

  • Must be able to interact with both corporate and individual store level customer contacts and provide hands-on troubleshooting assistance with product and equipment issues

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,400.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
