Hours: 2:00pm to 7:30pm

Every Other Weekend

The Dining Room Lead is a senior server who ensures a high quality of food service for the residents and oversees the shift when a supervisor/manager is not available.

• Oversees food service workers and maintains sanitary conditions.
• Assists residents with dietary needs, takes attendance or assists with meal counting, and prepares room trays for residents.
• Assist waitstaff with serving of meals.
• Acts as a "decision maker" in the absence of a manager or supervisor.
• Help fill open positions in the event the kitchen is short staffed.
• Checks to ensure waitstaff and dishwasher job duties are completed at the end of their shifts, including cleaning assignments.
• Set a good example for other waitstaff and dishwashers. Maintains a positive attitude.

• Ability to make appropriate decisions under pressure.
• Ability to perform all job duties and tasks in their respective kitchen.
• Ability to transport food trays and carts weighing approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Demonstrate patience and understanding to the needs of the elderly.
• Possesses good verbal communication skills to supervise staff and clear written communication skills to document dietary needs.
• Demonstrates good customer service skills.
• Able to facilitate daily pre-shift meetings.
