The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Production Control Clerk to support our government customer located in Kihei, Hawai'i Summit of Haleakala & Remote Maui Experiment (RME) Complex.
The primary responsibility of the Production Control Clerk is to track all preventative maintenance (PM), work orders (WO), work tasks (WT) facility projects (FP), costs, schedules, and communications between Operations Maintenance (O&M) department and other supporting departments/entities.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide escort, planning, design, management and services in support of the maintenance, repair, demolition and construction of facilities and infrastructure while referring to all AF Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) Playbooks.
- Operate and maintain real property (RP), utilities, Building Equipment (BE) or Asset Record and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain a weekly In-service Work Plan (IWP) for a rolling three-month period utilizing the NexGen IT or other approved method/system. The IWP shall include PM Program, WTs, and FPs, along with a list of all open WTs and FPs for review and possible reprioritization within the IWP. The IWP shall identify total hours of PM by shop scheduled on a weekly basis for the plan period. The initial IWP shall be provided to the Site CE for review and coordination NLT thirty (30) days after the start of the phase-in period.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program requirements are programmed in the In-Service Work Plan.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program requirements have precedence over all other work except emergency work.
- Ensure the Facility Project (FP) is approved and prioritized by the WRRB and are programmed in the In-Service Work Plan.
- Coordinate for approval prior to removing mission-essential systems/equipment from service for any reason.
- Designs and creates reports to track labor and material usage and costs from work orders and daily reports.
- Organizes data, records, and files.
- Tracks and expedites work, coordinating project resources as necessary to assure contractual completion time requirements are met.
- Prepares and processes material request forms.
- Ensures all required materials are on hand before releasing work for accomplishment.
- Coordinates closely with the customer and the other scheduling groups to identify and establish job requirements, priorities, access, establish work schedules, and report work progress.
- Plans and schedules work to minimize equipment downtime and customer inconvenience.
- Develops and implements measurement, reporting and control systems to improve planning and scheduling effectiveness.
- Provides ongoing status reports to management on work-load/backlog trends, work completion times, labor utilization, shop performance, and work order status.
- Monitors/updates work progress and status through IWNS or scheduling database.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Environmental Factors: Works in indoor and outdoor environments that contain excessive heat, cold and humidity, excessive dampness, electrical energy, dust, fumes, solvents grease, oils, moving machinery with moving parts, moving object or vehicles and slippery or uneven surfaces.
Physical Effort: Works from ground level, ladders, and platforms on equipment and systems where parts are hard-to-reach. Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stretching for prolonged periods will be necessary.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5) years' of progressive experience in the related field.
- Knowledge of common safety practices and protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to utilize various software/applications to track all requirements (i.e., NexGen, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to use common office machinery.
- Ability to work well as a team player in a challenging work environment.
- Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
- Must be available and able to respond to emergency call-ins when required.
- Must be physically able to climb all types of ladders, a-frame, vertical, extensions, etc.
- Must be physically able to climb up on and maneuver on raised walkways and platforms with limited access.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC related equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical related equipment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
