Role and Responsibilities:

RW Solutions seeks a dynamic and responsible Kitchen Supervisor & Driver to lead our kitchen team while providing backup meal delivery services. This role combines kitchen management and meal delivery to ensure high-quality meals are prepared and delivered to seniors and clients.

* Supervise kitchen staff, assign tasks, and provide training to ensure effective and efficient kitchen operations.

* Inspect food items to ensure they meet quality standards and health code regulations.

* Enforce food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent foodborne illnesses.

* Assist with budgeting and cost control measures, optimizing food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards.

* Take accurate daily meal counts and load necessary containers onto the delivery vehicle.

* Cover cafe sites as needed, ensuring smooth meal service.

* Ensure all containers are accounted for and meals are loaded properly to prevent spills.

* Deliver meals (congregate or individual) to assigned locations, carrying food items into sites as needed.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, noting any clients who are not home for meal delivery.

* Complete daily pre-drive safety checks and report any issues to the Driver Supervisor.

* Log meal temperatures every two hours and maintain weekly temperature logs.

* Follow Meals on Wheels Staff Guidelines and ensure compliance with all policies.

* Assist kitchen staff with meal prep as needed, ensuring high-quality meals are ready for delivery.

* Receive complaints professionally and provide polite, courteous service at all times.

* Complete monthly reporting and ensure all necessary documents are updated.

* Pick up and return Cambro food containers and ensure they are cleaned and sanitized.

* Clean and maintain delivery vans, ensuring they are in safe, operational condition.

* Perform additional duties to support kitchen operations and meal delivery.

.Registering participants, receiving meals, safe food handling, setting up the meal site, and serving meals.

.Clean up meal site, including dish washing, money handling, and driving experience.

.Would be based at the meal site unless needed to deliver meals on wheels.

Qualifications:

* Must have a valid driver's license.

* Experience in kitchen management and meal preparation.

. Proven experience in the food service industry.

. Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead position or similar role.

* Knowledge of meal delivery logistics and safety procedures.

* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene guidelines.

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Skills:

* Ability to drive an F-150 Truck.

* ServSafe Certification.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with kitchen staff and clients.

* Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks efficiently.

* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks.

Physical Demands:

* Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

* Frequent standing, bending, and walking during food preparation and delivery.

* Ability to drive for extended periods in a delivery van or truck.

* Ability to work in various environments, including hot and cold kitchen settings.

* Reasonable accommodations can be provided.

Environmental Demands:

* Work primarily in a kitchen and delivery environment with exposure to heat, noise, and food preparation equipment.

* Occasional exposure to inclement weather while delivering meals.

* Must be able to maintain focus and work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating demands.

* Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
