Summary


We are seeking an Entry Level Internal Communications Specialist with a flair for graphic design to join our communications team. This role combines traditional internal communication responsibilities with basic graphic creation skills, ideal for someone who is both creative and passionate about employee engagement and corporate communication. The Internal Communications Specialist is an integral part of the team at Dunmore. Along with using existing communication platforms, we are looking for someone to proactively create new channels to communicate with our associates at all levels within the organization. The Specialist is responsible for proactively sourcing, and writing content across a variety of communication platforms, including internal websites, newsletters, video, social media, emails and memos, and digital message boards.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Proactively source story ideas and content from company business areas, according to their needs, and contribute new content ideas consistent with the overall communications and content strategy


  • Support the development of internal communication plans and strategies to ensure effective and consistent messaging across all internal channels.Collaborate with internal key stakeholders/departments to write, edit and publish short and long form content for the company's multiple internal channels, including printed flyers, newsletters, intranet, digital signage, and email.


  • Ensure internal messages are communicated to employees in a clear, timely and effective manner and that all communications and visuals adhere to Dunmore's brand and style guidelines.


  • Use current communication tools and technology applications to create and publish content across internal platforms, and identify opportunities to introduce new tools or technologies that improve communication effectiveness.


  • Track and present metrics and oversee metric reports associated with internal communications/engagement activities and analyze employee feedback to improve communication strategies and tactics.


  • Participate in team meetings to align with the creative process and ensure adherence to strategic direction.


  • Manage social media platforms, ensuring engaging and up-to-date content. Assist in organizing internal events, including town halls, team meetings, and employee engagement activities.


  • Other Duties as needed or required.

Requirements

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:



  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.


  • Basic knowledge in graphic design and proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva).


  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.



Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.


  • At least one (1) to 2(two) years of experience in crafting a coherent, comprehensive, compelling, accurate, concise narrative from multiple and varied sources of input.



Physical Demands - OFFICE / TRAVEL



  • Standing/Sitting 40/60 %


  • Walking/Bending/Stooping 25%


  • Lifting Requirements: 25 pounds


  • Travel by air, rail, auto (10 % of time)


  • Work in manufacturing area, QA lab and office areas


  • Exposures - Odors, Fumes, Noise, Chemicals, Temperature, Vision strain, Moving parts.
