PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Is responsible for assisting in the development of standard safety and environmental loss prevention and compliance programs, in addition to executing related assessments for the GROWMARK System

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists in evaluation, development, and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures regarding GROWMARK safety standards and expectations.

Participates / Conducts audits and inspections of wholesale locations

Complete regulatory reporting as requested and required (ex. tier ii reporting, emission reporting, compliance reporting)

Contributes to the development and implementation of annual Risk Management Reviews/Plans.

Monitors environmental and safety laws and regulations which may impact compliance programs.

Provide guidance on current and new regulatory expectations.

Assists GROWMARK by providing local training as needed, necessary, and appropriate.

Collaborates in the creation and implementation of standardized inspections, audits, and assessments designed to benchmark the execution of safety initiatives throughout the GROWMARK System

Conducts job hazard assessments as well as monitors safety management protocols as needed and necessary.

Develops safety and environmental compliance procedures for new wholesale facilities and updates/revises existing procedures as necessary.

Responds to and assists with crisis related emergencies as needed and necessary throughout the GROWMARK System.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

May act as a liaison with regulatory agencies.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or industrial technology or equivalent

entry level safety, environmental or OSHA related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide safety, environmental, compliance, and accident prevention training to GROWMARK.

Ability to obtain OSHA certifications OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 40-hour, and HAZWOPER 24-hour certification.

Ability to develop effective presentation and training skills.

Experience in completing regulatory filings such as tier ii reports, federal/state level permitting.

Ability to develop professional communication and customer service skills.

Ability to develop organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to develop the ability to work independently and in team-oriented environment.

Ability to develop skill, ability to learn, and relative proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, typing and Safety Related Research

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel independently and overnight.

Ability to lift 25 lbs. and use man lifts, stairs and ladders.

Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions and contact with chemicals and dust requiring the proper use of personal protective equipment.

Occasionally required to work extended hours.

Requires the ability to maintain complete confidentiality.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
