JOB OVERVIEW:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates the loading of export and domestic shipments.
• Ensures the load satisfies all customer requirements.
• Ensures the quantity and composition of each load exactly matches the customer's request as stated on the shipping order.
• Examines the appearance and quantity of packaged product to verify that it meets the customer's expectations.
• Ensures the crew is following established safety and sanitation procedures and must complete the appropriate documentation in a reliable manner.
• Responsible for proper loading and securing of containers and/or trucks.
• Must be able to complete various document types in a reliable manner.
• Ensures weight distribution follows various regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for interpretation of loading instructions and direction of crew.
• Ensures all safety rules are followed.
• Must understand Blue Diamond line certification, HACCP processes and auditing, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's) and safety practices.

WHAT YOU NEED

*Minimum qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 + years' experience as a pull-pack driver experience and inventory knowledge

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations, bill of lading, shipping instructions, quality control sheets, sample requisitions, and schedules.
• Must have strong math skills.
• Must have knowledge of Blue Diamond inventory process.
• Possesses solid communication skills needed to effectively relate to all levels within the organization.
• Must have proven ability to independently recognize problems, develop relevant facts, and determine appropriate solutions.
• Must have forklift license.
• Must be able to understand California weight regulations and load vehicles accordingly.
• Works under limited supervision. High degree of impact on both internal and external customers. Errors may cause significant problems for Blue Diamond in terms of lost product, customer satisfaction, and adherence of California driving code.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
