What You Will Do

Are you ready to join a collaborative Agile development team and contribute to the quality of our acclaimed construction collaboration products? As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II, you will enhance software release quality through automation, process improvements, and tool enhancements. You'll paint the picture for what's possible, developing and applying tailored testing methodologies with a focus on AI-driven features.

Your primary day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining automation scripts and test automation frameworks.

  • Conducting manual testing and creating test plans, strategies, and test cases.

  • Designing, developing, and updating quality testing procedures.

  • Utilizing AI/ML techniques to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Contributing to the planning, scheduling, and implementation of testing projects.

  • Defining and adhering to quality initiatives, providing metrics and results to support business decisions.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, plus a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated test automation and scripting skills.

  • Solid understanding of QA processes and methodologies, including Agile practices.

  • Proficiency with business software tools such as Jira/Zephyr for test and defect management.

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in software development and testing.

Here is what you could bring

  • Prior experience in a global work environment.

  • Experience with AI-driven testing tools (e.g., Copilot, Notebook LM, Gemini).

  • Knowledge of performance, load, and security testing tools.

About Our Trimble MEP Division

The Trimble MEP Division is focused on providing acclaimed construction collaboration products that help the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing industry. Your position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager (or Senior QA Manager).

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
