Role Description: The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer Intern will be responsible for engineering and implementing maintenance improvement projects at the Loudon facility. This is a hands-on engineering role that will provide valuable experience in equipment reliability, maintenance optimization, and project management. The intern will work on projects that have a direct impact on the plant's operational efficiency and uptime.

Additional housing stipend from $1,500 to $3,000 depending on work and candidate's location.

Key Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and implement modification maintenance improvement projects.
  • Focus on critical spare parts selection and optimization.
  • Engineer replacements for obsolete parts.
  • Determine stocking levels for various parts and materials.
  • Work on small design projects to improve equipment reliability and maintainability.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ideal candidate will have completed Junior-level coursework and have previous intern or technical experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use and develop intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
