The Manager, Conferences Associate Engagement & Development will lead various programs designed to enhance the employee, or associate, experience and support professional growth. Primarily, this role will lead the Conference Ambassador Program which provides Gartner associates outside of the Conferences team with the opportunity to experience a destination conference in a delivery support capacity while exploring the value and benefit that conferences provide our clients and prospects. The manager will be responsible for program strategy and overall onsite delivery success. This role will also support additional programming designed to enhance associate engagement within the Conferences Operations team. These programs will require this manager to partner with stakeholders across various teams at Gartner to deliver these programs effectively. Building trusted partnerships and a strong executive presence will be key for success in this role.

What You Will Do:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business to assess conference needs, evaluate opportunities for new and existing business unit partnerships, and identify solutions to smart-scale the Ambassador Program across NA, APAC & EMEA regions.
  • Partner with conferences leadership, business units and Human Resources to continuously evaluate program participation requirements and compliance.
  • Serve as onsite lead (or train onsite lead) to act as point of contact for all ambassadors onsite including facilitating kickoff meetings, daily check-ins, shift checks, continuous coaching and feedback, and escalating sensitive issues.
  • Oversee communication strategy, recruitment process, training resources, onsite experience and post-conference evaluation of program.
  • Ensure trainings, tools and resources are designed to enable ambassadors to be successful in multiple conference delivery support roles. Lead continuous evaluation of training program and its effectiveness by analyzing and implementing feedback from program participants and BU partners.
  • Partner with various Conferences Operations teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and positive experience for ambassadors, including registration and housing, travel, onsite training, etc.
  • Partner with various Conferences Operations teams to ensure onsite ambassador staffing is consistent and aligned with conference needs and program expectations.
  • Lead additional programs within the team's scope that focus on engagement and development.
  • Develop, roll out and lead various programs to support associate engagement and development for a fast-paced and fast-growing business.
  • Build trusted partnerships with team members and leaders across the organization.
  • Measure and communicate the success of programs through evaluations, verbatims, and leadership feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to continue to scale and expand the Conferences Ambassador Program.
  • Key stakeholders include all teams in Global Conferences and teams required for conference delivery, HR business partners and key business unit stakeholders.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Event Management, Project Management, Recruiting, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, Strategic Partnerships, Associate Success Enablement.
  • Conference, event or trade show experience preferred.
  • Direct people management experience required.
  • Project management experience on detailed programs with multiple variables and dependencies.
  • Proven ability to quickly train and lead large groups.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with proven ability to build trusted partnerships across lines of businesses.
  • Strong service ethic and consideration for people.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to speak/write clearly and persuasively; ability to influence audiences of varying sizes and levels
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, implement and manage change and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to deliver programs and strategies that effectively address business needs.
  • Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and plan work activities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Consistent demonstration of integrity, collaboration, no-limits mindset, objectivity, and delivering results.
  • Solid computer and analytical skills: Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially Excel and Sheets.
  • Curious and inquisitive with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 69,000 USD - 107,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
