What this job involves:As a Sr. Building Automation Systems Technician at JLL, you'll be the technical leader driving optimal performance across our building automation systems, with specialized focus on Siemens Desigo platforms. This critical role ensures our client properties operate at peak efficiency while advancing JLL's commitment to sustainable, cost-effective building management. You'll serve as the go-to expert for complex BMS challenges, directly impacting operational excellence and client satisfaction across multiple high-profile sites. What your day-to-day will look like:* Monitor and assess building health status across multiple sites, ensuring all BMS components operate within optimal parameters * Review and evaluate current maintenance practices, providing strategic recommendations to improve system reliability and performance * Analyze BMS design architecture and provide technical input for system upgrades and future site implementations * Troubleshoot complex automation system issues and serve as subject matter expert for escalated technical problems * Collaborate with facility teams to optimize BMS efficiency, enhancing sustainability outcomes and reducing operational costs * Conduct system performance audits and generate detailed reports on building automation effectiveness * Lead technical training sessions and mentor junior technicians on advanced BMS operations and best practices Required Qualifications:* 10+ years of hands-on experience in building automation systems management and operations * Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical building systems including HVAC, lighting, and critical infrastructure * Proficiency with multiple BMS software platforms such as Siemens Desigo CC, Trane Ensemble, or Niagara N4 * Strong expertise in instrumentation and controls for critical systems and HVAC applications * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose complex system issues * Proven leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration * Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and client interaction Preferred Qualifications:* Direct experience with Siemens Desigo CC platform and ecosystem * Industry certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager), BAS certification, or relevant mechanical certifications * Project management experience with building automation system implementations or upgrades * Knowledge of energy management principles and sustainability best practices * Experience with IoT integration and smart building technologies * Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements #Bejobs #Oejobs #HVACjobs Location: On-site -McLean, VAIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
