Parker Lord has an immediate opening for a Senior Shipping Coordinator role at the Robison Road facility in Erie, PA. This position is responsible for the day-to-day processing of incoming receipts of material into SAP and supporting the shipping coordinators with product shipment.

• Efficiently and accurately receive in all items from our vendors into SAP with the appropriate documents.

• Troubleshoot any discrepancies hindering receipt of product into the facility by coordinating communication between the appropriate parties involved to obtain resolution.

• Interface with freight forwarders, customer service, and transportation providers to ensure accurate and timely shipments.

• Prepare and manage necessary transportation/delivery documentation according to established policies and procedures.

• Organize and coordinate work to meet service objectives of the receiving/shipping departments.

• Prepare and present data required to support the operation as necessary.

• Assist in the preparation of customer orders as needed.

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and High-Performance Team (HPT) Initiatives.

• All other duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIRED

• Material handling (shipping, receiving, warehousing) experience.

• Transportation experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions.

• Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.

• The incumbent must be able to coordinate and communicate appropriately and effectively with other professionals, be well organized, and exhibit sound decision-making abilities

• Ability to work independent of direct supervision, self-starter.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Demonstrated attention to detail.

• High school diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED

• Working knowledge of SAP software.

• Knowledge of domestic and international shipment regulations.

• Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
