Paint / Part Mark Technician General Description Part marks and paints OEM and CSO parts and assemblies as required. Working Procedures 1. Works with a minimum amount of supervision. 2. Works from prints, processes, specifications, and other applicable documentation. 3. Mixes paint to process and/or specifications. 4. Part marks piece parts and/or assemblies per process sheet or blueprint. 5. Cleans, masks, paints, performs touch-up painting and paint stripping on piece parts and assemblies. 6. Applies or reapplies dry film lubricant coatings. 7. Responsibilities include monthly inventory for age-sensitive materials. 8. Responsible for tracking and ordering all paint related supplies. 9. Uses good judgment in the care and handling of all tools, equipment and parts in process. 10. Keeps equipment and work area clean and in good working order. 11. Helps train new employees when necessary 12. Must be able to read and work from process sheets, blueprints, specifications and other applicable documentation. 13. Must have one or more years' experience as an HSD spray painter and know how to properly mix paint and operate all associated equipment. 14. Participates in continuous improvement activities/efforts with the classification/department. Participates in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
