While reporting to the Production Team Leader as the Production Associate I (Mig Welder) you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.

What You'll Be Doing:

The roles performed are Mig Weld mild steel together to form the finished product. Sheet material ranges from 16GA - " thick with occasional " plate. Flat Bar 3/16" - 1 thick, 3" I-Beam @ 7.5 pounds per foot, and structural tubing ranging from 1 " Square - 3" x 4" Rectangle. Fitting and forming parts for welding is required in certain jobs. Inspection and grinding are also required in certain jobs. Ability to lift 30-50 pounds is required. • Has ability to work in accordance with safety and quality standards

• Perform MIG welding on steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications

• Set up welding machines based on job requirements

• Mig Welding with .045 wire and perform fillet and butt joints.

• Ability to read drawings and Route Sheets to determine the proper job requirements.

• Flexible as individuals are trained on multiple jobs and weld positions.

• Ability to work collaboratively with all functions within the plant (safety, quality, maintenance & management)

• Responsible for general housekeeping (5S) of work area and department

• High school diploma or GED required

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Must pass a welding test and physical assessment

• Familiarity with safety standards and PPE usage
