JOB INFORMATION
* Job Title: Project Manager Associate * Job Code: 128162 * Job Grade: 54 JOB SUMMARY
Manages the design and construction of generation, transmission, substation, and distribution projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Performs project management activities including managing project budgets, creating and maintaining project schedules, managing project scopes, managing project risks, monitoring and tracking projects, and reporting project status. Ensures project safety, compliance with the AFE policy, and effective communications and coordination with customers, key stakeholders, and management. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Entry level professional. Performs assignments with standardized processes. Works under direct supervision. Resolves questions and problems within established standards and guidelines. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Typically manage projects up to $150,000 with lower complexity and risk (A projects). Lower complexity projects could include quality/reliability issues to customers, some financial risk, some self-perform/oversight required, some siting and land acquisition, minimal environmental/regulatory permitting, and/or multiple configuration changes. * Responsible for the oversight of, design, construction, and commissioning of small to moderate projects. * Ensures complete and timely project closeout including after-action reviews to achieve continuous improvement. * Evaluates need for contract assistance. * Explains basic engineering and construction requirements to customer, including Right of Way requirements, clearance, payments, etc. * May assist project manager on large projects. * May develop project management plans that include project scope verification, project schedules, timelines, milestones, budget estimates. * Projects typically involve 1-2 disciplines or asset types (e.g. distribution, transmission, substation, controls, communication, boiler, turbine, etc.). * Collaborates with project management, planning, land management, design, construction, operations, resource coordination, and supply chain personnel. * Develops timetables and priorities for the execution of all design and construction activities of the project. * All other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management; Or * Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 4 years of related experience (e.g., Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or * High School Diploma/GED and 6 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations). WORKING CONDITIONS
* Required to travel to Company offices and work sites including overnight trips. * Required to work non-standard (evenings & weekend) hours to accommodate customers and extensive hours to meet deadlines. * Outdoor work environment requiring ability to traverse rough terrain, be exposed to inclement weather, and wear PPE. * Office environment including computer work. * Member is required to drive in order to perform their job duties. Member is assigned a company vehicle and/or member must drive a company and/or personal vehicle to complete company business at least 50% of time. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
* Demonstrated commitment to IIF (Incident and Injury Free) workplace. * Knowledge of the Company's Terms and Conditions of Service and Engineering. * Knowledge of OG&E electrical system (generation, transmission, substation, distribution including design, construction, maintenance, and operations. * Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects. * Computer skills with ability to use application software including SAP, CCS, CRTS, ArcFM, and MS Office Suite. * Demonstrated ability to apply Project Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). * Demonstrated ability to oversee, plan, coordinate, track, and complete small size projects (A projects) meeting desired project outcomes within specified time and budget constraints. * Demonstrated excellent problem solving and decision making skills. * Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and professionally with customers, team members, and leaders. * Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to influence others and achieve measurable results. * Demonstrated desire to meet and exceed customer expectations. * Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
