Position: Utility Distribution Worker IV Nature of Work Join a team where your technical skills keep the Mizzou campus running. As a Utility Distribution Worker IV, you'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of essential utility distribution systems including steam, condensate, potable water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and chilled water systems. Key Responsibilities * Operate tools and equipment to maintain and repair underground utility systems, including steam, potable water, sanitary and storm sewer, and chilled water. * Perform trenching, digging, and backfilling - including hand digging when required - to access and service utility lines. * Coordinate utility outages and respond to emergencies with prompt, effective repairs to restore service. * Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to plan work, review schematics and manuals, manage materials, and maintain accurate records. * Lead and execute projects with or without detailed plans, ensuring high-quality work that meets standards and specifications. * Support a wide range of utility operations by performing additional duties as needed to ensure system reliability and campus continuity. * High school graduate or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired, is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Steam System experience is required for this position. Anticipated Hiring Range
