Welder/Fabricator

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a steel manufacturing team in Ringgold, GA. This hands-on role involves setting up and operating welding equipment to fabricate metal components according to precise specifications.

Pay: $20.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential (or based on experience)

Shifts Available: 1st and 3rd shift

Responsibilities:

• Read Blueprints & Technical Drawings: Interpret engineering plans to determine dimensions and welding requirements.
• Machine Setup: Configure welding machines and select appropriate tools and fixtures.
• Material Handling: Lift and position parts (up to 50 lbs manually; heavier items with crane/hoist).
• Quality Control: Ensure welds meet required codes and standards.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to machine operation or weld quality.
• Workspace Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 2 years of welding experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Skilled in MIG/TIG or other welding methods
• Experience using measuring tools and performing precise measurements
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Team player with good communication skills
