Description Management/Leadership Req #: 53359 Summary: This is a management position responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the Supply Chain within a MaineHealth member hospital. The Manager has operational responsibilities, directly or through others, to organize, staff, direct, and control the movement, storage, and distribution of all hospital goods, services, and equipment. The Manager serves as the onsite representative for the MaineHealth Supply Chain and will be considered the most responsible supply chain person onsite. They are charged with interfacing between the MaineHealth Integrated Supply Chain and their hospital entity/staff to implement supply chain programs and projects and advocate for stakeholder needs. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Knowledge of supply chain management including inventory, distribution, purchasing, accounting, financial and budgeting functions at a level normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 ten years of relevant experience. Master's degree preferred.
- License/Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Progressively responsible management experience in Supply Chain. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of all supply chain-related processes and demonstrated skills in communication and relationship management.
- Expertise in information systems involved in the scope of this position.
- Interpersonal communication skills associated with managing a complex organization, as well as skills to effectively influence, negotiate, resolve problems and make strategic and tactical decisions with senior managers, nursing and department directors, physicians and vendors. Requires the ability to be collaborative, assertive, and confident in driving operational efficiency.
- Excellent communications skills, both orally and in writing, as well as excellent presentations skills.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives, recommend changes and implement business processes.
- Ability to perform detailed and sophisticated financial analysis and oversight.
