Position Overview At Exact Sciences, we are cancer fighters. We are united by our mission to change lives by providing earlier, smarter answers. The Lead Product Manager will partner closely with assigned product and business team members to define solutions that are in line with customer needs and business objectives. This position is responsible for defining the roadmap and driving delivery of a product area or user journey. This position will work with the business stakeholders, development teams, design and other cross functional teams to facilitate their product area roadmap, and drive the product development. Their responsible product area could be a set of digital solutions or customer experiences. The Lead Product Manager will drive the business requirement gathering, understand the problem space to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and ultimately verify that the work generated by the development teams meets the stakeholders' requirements. The Lead Product Manager will support the product teams by participating in projects of high complexity. This position supports ensuring that business, user, and technology needs are met through continuous analysis, iteration, solutioning, and delivery. This position enjoys both the strategic work of finding the best solution and the implementation work of how best to bring it to life for maximum impact. This person excels at working with business stakeholders across the organization to bring new initiatives to life - for example: lab, compliance, logistics, and beyond. You possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence multiple stakeholders and leaders without direct authority. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Engage as a key voice of the customer for stakeholders to ensure their needs are heard and that delivery teams are getting the support needed.
- Translate user and business needs into high-level requirements for work assignments of high complexity, utilizing a structured process for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing change to assess and recommend solutions based on cost vs. benefit analysis and parallels to overall business strategy.
- Strategically plan, and drive the roadmap for one or more product areas and technical discovery with support from business partners, experience design, research, and delivery teams (may include co-creation workshops and/or prototyping).
- Collaborate with the product area lead(s) to adjust scope and roadmap - empowered to make final prioritization decisions within their area(s).
- Define the overall Epics, User Stories, acceptance criteria for a product area and ensure they are understood by delivery team.
- Ensure grooming and prioritizing of the backlog to ensure work is in line with the product strategy and OKRs, which includes and is balanced across new development, non-functional requirements, and other technical work that leverages OKR and KPI data, research, industry trends, etc.
- Define acceptance criteria for product features of high complexity ensuring they are understood by the delivery team.
- Maintain detailed documentation such as gap analyses, business process flow charts, decision tables, features, and business requirements document to aid in the development and refinement of new analytical tools and processes.
- Lead the implementation phase, composing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and participating in design reviews and walk throughs.
- Track product performance after implementation to ensure efficiency of operations and proactively provide continuous improvement recommendations.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success. Monitor product performance, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to improve product outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Engineering (QE) to ensure the product meets high standards of quality, performance and reliability by defining the product requirements and acceptance criteria, which are then used by the QE team to develop test plans and test cases.
- Create and maintain the product roadmap for area of responsibility that outlines the development and release of features.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders, including executives, partners, and customers.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and prioritize competing demands to ensure alignment and focus.
- Actively participate in all squad ceremonies.
- Review work completed by the squad, provide feedback, and accept work, as applicable.
- Manage the product backlog by grooming and prioritizing, while ensuring work is in line with product strategy and OKRs.
- Ability to collaborate and operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrixed environment to build consensus across functions.
- Consistently influence and make significant decisions across multiple projects. Guide discussions on critical areas of impact.
- Communicate clear and concise product updates and releases to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field of study; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience as outline in the essential duties.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products/services.
- Experience applying techniques and methods of modern product management, product discovery, and product delivery - along with expertise with product management platforms and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate the development of product vision, strategic roadmaps, and go-to-market strategy for services and products as part of a broader end-to-end user experience.
- Advanced problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
- Advanced business analysis skills; including, but not limited to, process and user flow definition and business KPIs.
- Advanced skills in translating complex user, business, operational, and technical requirements into clear epics, features, stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Some experience with A/B testing, user testing, user interviews, and conversions funnels.
- Experience engaging with engineers, designers, researchers, SMEs, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship where you can both learn and influence.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in life science, healthcare, bioinformatics, wellness, or digital health.
- Knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Google Analytics, etc., A/B testing tools such as AB Tasty, Optimizely, MoEngage, etc., and/or design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, etc.

Salary Range: $109,000.00 - $185,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
