The academic year salary for a Teaching Instructor will not be less than $75,152, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP-AFT) and Rutgers University. |

The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey - New Brunswick invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track (renewable) position as Teaching Instructor in the Speech and Hearing Sciences. Duties consist primarily of teaching at the undergraduate level. This is a 3-3 teaching load position; the successful candidate will teach three undergraduate courses each semester in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Linguistics.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
The candidate must have completed all requirements for a Master's degree (
MSSLP or
MASLP) or a Ph.D. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences or a closely related field by August 31, 2026. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Experience teaching undergraduate students at the university level, with preference for experience with online or hybrid classes. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: phonetics; voice; speech; child language development; or hearing disorders. Expertise in other related areas may also be considered. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Experience advising undergraduate students and clinical experience in speech-language pathology and/or audiology. |
