Summary of the Job:

The Information Technology Sr. Data Analyst plays a critical role in partnering with IT leadership to transform financial and technology data into strategic insights to support informed decision-making within the technology organization. Working directly with the IT senior leadership, this position builds executive-level dashboards and performs financial analysis to optimize technology spending across the enterprise. The role focuses on gathering IT expenditure data, creating compelling visualizations to assist in identifying cost optimization opportunities. This individual will possess strong SQL skills, financial acumen, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

About This Role:

Responsibilities

Data Collection, Extraction, and Analysis:

  • Gather IT financial data from multiple sources

  • Write SQL queries to extract and transform data

  • Maintain data integrity and quality throughout the financial reporting lifecycle

  • Provide data analysis for IT Finance team to identify spending patterns, cost drivers, and budget variances to identify optimization opportunities

Data Visualization, Reporting and Presentation:

  • Build executive-level dashboards and financial visualizations

  • Design and maintain IT financial reports and scorecards for leadership consumption

  • Prepare regular budget reports and ad-hoc analysis for IT Leadership

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior IT leadership and finance stakeholders

Data Quality and Integrity:

  • Partner with IT Finance team to support budget planning and cost allocation processes

  • Support governance, audit, and compliance requests with accurate financial data

  • Identify trends and anomalies in IT spending to inform strategic decisions

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with IT Leadership and finance teams to understand reporting requirements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial data processes and accuracy

  • Support technology investment evaluations with data-driven analysis

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience

  • 3+ years' experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or IT finance, preferably in banking or financial services

  • Strong SQL skills along with experience working in large datasets

  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost analysis, or IT financial management

  • Proven analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

  • Strong communication skills including ability to present to senior management

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting (Power BI, Quicksight, or similar tools)

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehouses (Snowflake) a plus

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills

  • This role is onsite 3+ days a week (Downtown Omaha campus)

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $80,061.00-$132,099.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
