Job Purpose

A Market Partner Success Specialist Lead generates trade ally/contractor interest in National Grid's various energy programs, including Electrification, Weatherization, Heat Pumps, Energy Efficiency and EV Charging to support the achievement of revenue and energy savings targets for the company. National Grid is looking for an individual who will build trusted relationships with trade partners and deliver on assigned performance metrics by maintaining awareness of National Grid Programs. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for trade allies and contractors, consulting and ensuring access to our programs, available services, and enabling the trade partner to have a successful and positive experience working with National Grid.

Key Accountabilities
  • Follow up on leads and develop effective relationships with current and prospective trade allies/contractors to explain and promote National Grid energy programs and services for the purpose of creating interest and generating new projects.
  • Ability to operate as an individual while contributing to a 'deal team' of your colleagues, including Technical Support, Energy Advisors, Analysts and adjacent teams. Independently collate and analyze data using pre-determined tools, methods, and formats to understand current contractor engagement against targets and improve where needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with trade allies and partners to understand their requirements and deliver appropriate solutions, in line with
  • National Grid policies, programs and processes.
  • Research and investigate new energy saving equipment, processes, and initiatives to bring latest industry technology to National Grid portfolio of programs and offerings.
  • Monitor and review spending/budget information, updating others where necessary to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in engineering, business, marketing, communications, or other related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account development or client outreach role.
  • Possesses a general understanding of energy, utility and/or efficiency industry as well as experience in using Salesforce (CRM software) preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to apply consultation procedures and negotiation skills using visual aids, data, or information to support line of reasoning.
  • Experience of fact-finding including knowledge and understanding of where to find and how to present relevant information. Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness and can investigate the situation beyond routine questioning.
  • Makes self fully available for the market partners and customers. Demonstrates an energetic and enthusiastic manner and the ability to add value to the customer or contractor experience.
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
