Description

Scope of Work:

Oversee the day to day scheduling and management of the branch, labor and personnel, including the Generator Technicians and Preventative Maintenance staff. Prioritize workflow and maintain a clean and safe environment. Build and maintain customer relationships in region.

Primary Job Responsibilities:




  • Oversee the day-to-day scheduling of all Labor and PM work in department
  • Manage all standby service tech personnel, and preventative maintenance personnel
  • Answer and resolve all customer and/or vendor calls and involve upper management when required
  • Coordinate with sales team to execute customer requirements and needs
  • Review closed service jobs prior to billing the customer
  • Determine training needs of current staff and inform branch manager of needs
  • Recognize staffing needs, recruit, and develop team members with branch manager's support
  • Develop strong relationships with external customers and vendors and internal personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must have a minimum of 5 year(s) previous experience managing in the service industry
  • G.E.D. or High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of diesel/ gaseous engines and generators/ automatic transfer switches preferred but not mandatory



Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)



  • Must have the ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and evaluate others
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Must have organizational skills
  • Display strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven experience in customer focus and relationship-building
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical systems
  • Display problem solving skills and be able to recommend resolution
  • Must be able to respond to and diffuse highly stressful/emotional situations with customers
  • Must promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
  • Must protect the company assets and interests
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days


Working Conditions:




  • Typical hours of work Monday -Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Weekend hours/after normal hours as necessary
  • Indoor / Outdoor work
  • Must be available after hours to dispatch technicians for emergency callouts
  • Some temporary adjustments to starting and quitting time as workload requires
