The Energy, Natural Resources, and Environmental (ENE) Practice Group at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP (DWT) is seeking a dynamic junior-level associate to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our practice. We are looking for a candidate who can leverage their expertise to expand our capabilities and client base in these regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in state and federal "Superfund" (cleanup) projects, as well as work involving other state and federal environmental laws, including RCRA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and similar state statutes.
  2. Collaborate with our team to provide comprehensive legal services to clients, with a focus on energy and environmental law.
  3. Utilize your knowledge of environmental law to enhance our service offerings and client relationships.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the bar in the state where you work.
  3. Experience or strong interest in environmental law, particularly in relation to state and federal regulations.
  4. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington and Oregon is $200,000 to $225,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial sick leave benefit is 80 hours of sick leave per year. Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation from work each year, and it may vary depending on the needs of the clients and the firm. Additional voluntary benefits programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long-term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
