Bruker's BNSM Division is the leader in advanced automated X-ray, AFM, Photomask Repair and WLI metrology for the semiconductor industry. We are looking for a talented applications engineer or scientist to join our team to introduce and establish Optical metrology technology for the semiconductor industry. Responsibilities SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: * Demonstrate, perform sample measurements, and support sales of optical profiler for key worldwide Semiconductor accounts * Assist and support sales team during pre-sale phase * Assist and support service team during installation and acceptance phase * Generate Marcom collateral to support existing or future released product from optical profiler portofolio. It includes but not limited to application note, webinars, posting in social media on targeted technical groups * Generate training matrix for sales and sales application groups in field * Provide advanced expert application support as backup for field (sales & sales apps) * Provide intensive customer focus and relevant market insights to support product marketing and business strategy to define user needs for product functionality with focus on 3D optical (non-contact) metrology applications in semiconductor applications * Fully-independent applications development in areas of targeted business growth to bring knowledge and industry expertise, as well as dissemination of expert knowledge to cross-functional teams within Bruker Stylus and Optical Metrology engineering and development teams, as well as via external presentations, seminars, webcasts ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ~70% sales application and customer support as well as follow-up of JDR ~30% applications development support as described above, key and primary BU interface to targeted customer base in areas of Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology SOM growth (primarily for future/potential customers in growth markets) - serve as key technical/market bridge between end market users and SOM product development teams Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Fluent in Office software's such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel - Ability to travel (domestically and internationally), approximately 33% of the time, on short notice - Experience in instrumentation at semiconductor environment EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in materials science engineering, physics or related physical science or engineering field with minimum 3-5 years semi-conductor experience (or M.S. and 2 years industry experience or Ph.D. degree). Other credentials or certifications considered with key relevant semiconductor industry experience. Certain positions at Bruker require compliance with export control laws and as a result, all interviewed candidates for all positions will be screened pre-interview to determine their eligibility considering export control restrictions. At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $86,400 and $153,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
