Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Play an integral role in driving a world-class safety culture within Worley's manufacturing operations. We're looking for a proven HSE professional who understands the unique challenges of a production environment and can help shape a proactive, people-centered approach to health, safety, and environmental excellence. This role is designed for someone who not only brings technical expertise but also leads with influence, clarity, and collaboration.

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for leading and implementing Worley's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategy within our manufacturing operations. Your focus will be to prevent injuries, protect our people and the environment, and ensure our facilities and project teams operate to the highest global standards. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and operational leadership, you will develop and guide HSE programs that foster continuous improvement and accountability across all levels of the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide strong HSE leadership and guidance to manufacturing project teams, ensuring consistent application of Worley's safety management systems and standards.
  • Partner with Project and Construction Managers to identify, assess, and control workplace hazards that could lead to injury, illness, property damage, or environmental harm.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring that findings are analyzed and corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Translate strategic HSE direction into practical plans, programs, and training that align with Worley's operational goals and client expectations.
  • Lead risk assessments and support the development of safe work procedures that reflect best practices in manufacturing.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for continual HSE improvement.
  • Coach and mentor team members to build HSE capability and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as company and client requirements.
  • Communicate proactively across all levels of the business, influencing behaviors and decision-making to achieve measurable HSE results.

  • 10+ years of relevant HSE experience, with at least a portion spent in a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong understanding of HSE management systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex, fast-paced operational settings.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing HSE initiatives across large or complex projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and motivate others toward shared safety goals.
  • A problem-solving mindset-pragmatic, data-informed, and able to translate strategy into actionable results.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve them as needed.
