Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is currently seeking a General Foreman to join our team! Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Upon direction from the Superintendent, assigns tasks to the skilled, unskilled, and temp workers. Foresee tools, equipment and materials needed for upcoming task. Assists workers with specific tasks as needed. Monitors progress of self-perform crews and subs. Supervises the maintenance of tools and equipment. Perform equipment and material management duties. Ensures workers are working safely and are properly trained. Receives and distributes materials to specified sections of the jobsite. Notifies Superintendent of needed materials and equipment. Implements and observes company safety program. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Ensure worksite is clean and free of debris. Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within project schedule. Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions. Minimum Qualifications: Two to Three (2-3) years of construction experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. OSHA 30 Hour Experience or the ability to lead and supervise crews. Must be physically and mentally able to successfully perform essential job functions. Must pass pre-hire screenings. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites. Will be required to wear PPE to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots. Work Environment While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions to include heat, humidity, dust, cold, and at times inclement weather. The noise level in the jobsite environment is usually loud. Must be comfortable and able to work in unpleasant and hazardous environments.
