SUMMARY: The T-6 COMBS Material Coordinator - Over and Above (O&A) is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing all materials, parts, and cost-related requirements associated with Over and Above maintenance actions across all T-6 Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) sites. This position ensures timely sourcing, documentation, and approval of O&A materials to support aircraft maintenance beyond standard contract requirements. The coordinator works closely with Maintenance Control, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, and Program Management to ensure accurate workload tracking, compliance with contractual and government guidelines, and cost control. JOB DUTIES: Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and process O&A material requests initiated by site maintenance personnel.
- Verify O&A requirements using technical publications, inspection findings, or engineering directives.
- Submit O&A quotes, material cost estimates, and justifications to Program Management Office (PMO) via Logistics Manager for review and approval.
- Track O&A approvals, denials, and pending actions to prevent delays in maintenance execution.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Vendors to source and order parts, tools, and supplies specific to O&A tasks.
- Monitor order status, back-orders, pricing changes, and shipping timelines.
- Maintain accurate O&A records in maintenance, supply, and cost-tracking systems.
- Assist with updating work orders or job control numbers (JCNs) for O&A actions.
- Ensure O&A expenses are properly documented and aligned with contract and customer guidelines.
- Support PMO and Finance with O&A cost reporting, invoicing support, and audit documentation.
- Collaborate with Site Supervisors to prioritize O&A material needs.
- Maintain communication between site teams and PMO on O&A request status and material availability.
- Provide regular O&A material status updates and metrics to Site Leadership and Program Management.
- Assist in resolving part discrepancies, substitutions, or alternative sourcing issues.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to O&A.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties related to O&A material coordination and lifecycle tracking.
- Perform other duties assigned to support mission readiness and program objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with maintenance and supply systems (e.g., NALCOMIS, OOMA, IMDS, SAP or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance data, and cost documentation.
- Experience in aviation supply, logistics, material coordination, or maintenance planning preferred.
- Experience with O&A, cost tracking, or government contracting processes preferred.
- Experience in a military or contractor aviation environment preferred.
- Experience with maintenance or supply systems preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of aviation supply chain, material coordination, or logistics processes (preferred).
- Understanding of Over and Above (O&A) processes or contract cost tracking (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, tracking, and financial documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple O&A requests.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, supply, procurement, quality, and finance personnel.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve material or cost-related issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive program and financial data.
