    Perform technical duties in operating, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, calibrating, installing and inspecting Timing, communication and test equipmentTest and evaluate installations and repairs to ensure accuracy, compatibility and ensure all order/service requirements are fulfilledPerform corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, operations, alignment and installation of (data, voice, video, and network) distribution systems and the associated end instrumentsResponsible for Property Inventory, Control of Supply Parts and Tools, and Quality AssuranceMaintain Station and Operation Logs, documentation, and recordsWork with Electro Static Sensitive (ESD) devices and confirm to ESD safety practicesProvide accurate REMEDY and IMDS (Trouble Ticket tracking databases) preventative and corrective action reportsComplete assigned training and assist with the training of others to ensure optimal availability of qualified personnel for daily operations, maintenance, and launch supportPerform other duties as assigned  Required Skills

    AS Degree in Electronic Technology, or two-year technical school, equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceTwo (2) years of experience as an Electronic Technician B or five (5) years of electronics technician experience related to the systems, subsystems and operations required to maintain Timing systemsAdvanced understanding of test, diagnostic, and measurement equipment to include: RF test equipment, Fireberds, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, RF Power Meters, and Network AnalyzersAdvanced understanding of data transport systems/network (2.4 kbps - DS-3 broadband multiplexers) including ATM and IP network architectureWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Advanced experience with troubleshooting of electronic equipment/systemsExperience working on the following test equipment: OTDR, LAN meter, Oscilloscope, Fireberd or T-Berd data analyzersExperience on one or more of the following systems: Timing FDME count distribution equipment, TWSTT, IRIG distribution and GPS receivers, TMS-3000, FCC-100s, Orion DRCS, IDNX, Timeplex, Alcatel Microwave and various KG devices and COMSEC proceduresExperience with various long-haul circuit technologies to include T-1, DS-3, OC-12, and OC-48, preferred Additional Eligibility Qualifications
