Senior Cost Accountant

Position Overview
Elevate Textiles is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team to provide Cost Accounting support and services to the Burlington and Safety Component brands. The position can be based out of Charlotte or Greensboro, NC and reports to the Division Controller.

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform varied cost analysis and accounting tasks requiring an understanding of concepts, procedures, and use of cost analysis and accounting knowledge.
• Perform annual standard cost update for four plants.
• Assist in preparation of Military bids and audit of bids.
• Prepare & analyze weekly, monthly and period ending cost audits, to include preparation of variance statements to management.
• Provide cost sheets and estimates to product development and merchandising on a timely turnaround basis. Ability to answer inquiries and provide "what if" adjustments on cost sheets and estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date information to develop the most accurate cost projections.
• Assist as needed in the preparation & analysis of monthly, quarterly, and year-end valuations of inventories.
• Assist in coordination of cost activities with plants and other staff departments.
• Assist in development of new or added mfg. costs by using research and analysis where necessary.
• Provide suggestions for computer applications and assist in implementation of systems.
• Perform any other special tasks upon request that require understanding of cost concepts, procedures, and cost accounting knowledge.

Job Requirements include:

• Four-year degree or equivalent cost/financial experience.
• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent PC skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Good organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively / both verbally & written.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Cost experience in textile industry, preferred.
• Experience with CODA, OneStream, Porini and Impact 3C systems, preferred.
