Get to Know Your Team: Bailey Medical Center offers a full range of medical services, including general surgery, maternity, gynecology, bariatrics, orthopedics and emergency care. The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region. Responsibilities This position is accountable for operating the ultrasound scanners, transporting patients, and answering questions related to reports of exams. The incumbent helps clean rooms and equipment and orders supplies, assists physicians with invasive procedures, and administers basic C.P.R. Must be RDMS or RDMS registry eligible. The incumbent must be able to maintain a high standard of imaging. A thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and positioning is essential for a quality exam. Must be able to handle multiple demands simultaneously and keep a helpful attitude. Must be able to coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow. Must be available for 24-hour call back with a 1-hour response time. Will participate in performance improvement initiatives. Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his or her assigned area. Qualifications Job Requirements: Vocational/Technical education. Ultrasound Training. Appropriate ARDMS certification or RDMS Registry eligible (within one year of hire). BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements: 1 year of experience.
