 Job Summary
 
 The Senior Manufacturing Manager is responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labeling ACT finished goods and products. Ensuring the product is built to specifications and of the highest quality in the quantities and timing prescribed by the Production Planner. Analyze and manage resources to best meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Responsible for housekeeping and safety in all manufacturing areas. Ensure that all established policies, rules, and procedures are followed. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (environmental, OSHA, FDA). Support Quality System and Engineering initiatives. The Senior Manufacturing Manager also supports other activities, as assigned, by the Senior Director or Vice President of Operations, depending on location.
 
 Essential Functions
 
 Define strategic direction for assigned manufacturing lines, aligning with Company goals and particular emphasis on Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost objectivesWork with Production Planner to develop build plans, manufactures products according to the plan, and monitors and reports progressControl and monitor daily production details to achieve On Time Delivery of product in accordance with the planned production scheduleCommunicate the cause of any delay and the most efficient recovery plan in the event the planned production schedule is unable to be metResponsible for leadership and management of manufacturing managers, supervisors and operatorsEnsure manufacturing lines are appropriately staffed and that the manufacturing operators are properly trained to perform the workEstablish a skilled work force capable of meeting work area performance metricsProvide effective training and maintain training records; ensuring Training Record Audits and annual re-certifications are completed.Ensure consumption of raw materials are accurately tracked during productionCheck machines for maintenance problems and ensures problems are resolved.Work with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure equipment and fixtures are properly calibrated and maintainedEnsure cleanliness of all work areasPrevent variances of scrap, labor, and materialsManage assigned department(s) within established budgetEnsure all applicable procedures and instructions are followedCoordinate with QA, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Inventory Control functions to troubleshoot issues such as production holds, material purges or quality issuesEnsure all products meet applicable specificationsFoster a culture of continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing techniquesResponsible for CER/PPE monitoring, maintenance and stocking of supplies worn in the CER/PPE (gowns, hairnets, booties, gloves) Required/Preferred Education and Experience 
 Bachelor's Degree preferred10+ years experience in manufacturing required7-9 years supervisory experience in manufacturing requiredMedical device experience preferredLean manufacturing or similar continuous improvement process experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
