 Job Summary The Admissions and Enrollment Counselor serves as one of the primary contacts for prospective students, pre-health advisors, academic advisors and other individuals or organizations involved in the medical school selection and enrollment process. This position is responsible for recruiting, managing communications, screening applicants, interviewing, organizing and managing applicant interview days for the College of Medicine. Essential Functions 
   
 Complete duties surrounding processes linked with application assessment, data analysis and plan development including but not limited to:Analyze qualifications of prospective students utilizing established admissions standards, guidelines and criteria, reviewing unusual circumstances with senior leadership as appropriate. This includes making recommendations for interview offers.Complete summary reviews of interviewed applicants that will be presented to the Admissions Committee Analyze applicant and admissions data and make recommendations for strategic initiatives and planning.Assist in planning and implementing the student recruitment plan for specific admissions programs or projects. Complete duties surrounding marketing and applicant-facing events related to program recruitment including but not limited to:Correspond and/or meet with prospective students, applicants, their families, and others seeking information on admission standards, academic programs and student services.Travel as necessary for receptions, forums and corporate presentations to enhance recruitment effortsWork with Marketing and Communications to enhance and update the website and social media presence for the Admissions Office. This includes maintaining an active and dynamic web presence.Create and maintain professional relationships with pre-health advisors, academic advisors, and other individuals or organizations involved in the medical school section process.Serve as the primary contact to prospective students and applicants, pre-health advisors, academic advisors and other individuals or organizations involved in the medical school selection process. Act as a conduit between the Office of Admissions and the applicants by completing duties including but not limited to:Organize and run the applicant interview day for over 2,000 studentsTake part in answer general emails sent to the general admissions inboxConduct informational sessions, prospective student meetings and formal interviews. This includes interviewing applicants for the admissions committee.Develop relationships with prospective students through multiple mediums, including individual appointments, telephone, email, social media sites and video/virtual chat.Travel 2-4 weeks in the fall and spring, and conduct evening and weekend events Serve as the co-manager of the medical student ambassador program. This includes selecting, training and oversight of the 300+ students involved.Attend weekly admissions meetings and take part in processes as a member of the4 Admissions officeOther duties as Assigned 
 Required Qualifications 
   
 Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Minimum of Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in admissions, student affairs or other student service related area at a college or university.Medical or professional school experience is preferredAbility to work evenings and weekendsValid driver's licenseAbility to travel 2-4 weeks in the fall and/or spring
 Preferred Qualifications 
   
 The successful candidate will have superior customer service skills and capable of working under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. The Admissions and Enrollment Counselor must also have an understanding of higher education, as well as strong oral and written communication skills; have excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholder needs and with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize work. The successful candidate should have a high level of energy and willingness to work as part of a team.Master's degree preferred

 Additional InformationThis position is classified as Exempt, grade H. Compensation for this grade ranges from $35,790.00 to $53,680 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
